Question by Maddie M: What kind of work experience would I do if I wanted to work in the music industry?
I am going to do an Entertainment Business Management course. Jobs post completion of this course include artist manager, events manager, booking agent, A & R manager, production music manager etc. What kind of work experience should I undertake beforehand that would increase my chances of getting into this course? By what kind I mean where would I go?
Work experience would increase my chances of getting into the course.

For general info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ?arts, entertainment and recreation? or such. It?s quite a competitive field as I?m sure that you?re aware.
Please be very wary of schools that promise employment in the end as pretty much no one can make that type of guarantee as well as being wary of private $ $ career schools as opposed to a county vo-tech school. And a traditional college or university can be a much better investment than a private school. For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
Please also steer clear of online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, university of phoenix, strayer and others as they are merely out to ?make a profit?: http://www.uopsucks.com
For possible volunteer opportunities: http://www.volunteermatch.org and can type into search ?zip code? and ?area(s) of interest?.
