Q: What do you do when your Realtor does not return e-mails or texts?

Try calling him/her directly at the office in case there is a communications problem like a lost cell phone. If you are not receiving a response, then call the office and ask for the managing broker. I am sure there is a reason that can be addressed.

A: If you have not signed an agreement (listing or buyer agency) with the Realtor, simply find another Realtor who will be there when you need them. If you have signed an agreement with the Realtor, you could speak with his/her managing broker. If he/she does not have a managing broker (i.e. the broker is an independent broker), you can send them a notice to terminate the agreement due to breach of contract.

If you have a contract with this agent, I would call their office and ask to speak with the Broker in Charge of the office. Let that person know your concerns. Normally, this will solve the issue. If not, ask to be released from your contract due to no service, and find another Realtor who takes their profession seriously.
