If you want to make a different kind of investment in your business, and your self, then simply decide to adopt a self improvement plan of action. If you have already identified certain negative patterns in your behavior, then that is a good place to begin. The simple fact is all people engage in some form of self-sabotage. So it is natural and does not mean there is anything ?wrong? with you. What happens is you are creating inner conflict, unknowingly, and your deepest beliefs are not in accordance with your conscious actions. The only problem is your deepest beliefs will win. You can overcome these conflicts and minimize or eliminate the sabotage but it takes effort.
Sometimes people develop a perfectionist habit in response to many possible reasons. Very basically, there is some underlying fear of possibly making mistakes, being criticized or generally looking less than some part of you desires. But perfectionism in business can lead to various kinds of problems. If your business requires you to make quick decisions, then of course your tendency to make sure everything is perfect could interfere. If you are frequently under tight schedules and deadlines, then once again there could be costly delays. The best approach with perfectionism is to exert discipline and be willing to draw the line when appropriate.
Everybody has a different approach to getting their work accomplished. How one chooses to stay organized is an individual decision and we each have our own plan. The answer to whether you are organized or not is a simple one and only you know what it is.
Are you trying to function day to day in an environment of total disorder? Make a decision right now to become orderly and watch how things change for the better. Someone who lives amidst total clutter seldom gets their work done timely. Everything takes longer and their mind just can?t be calm when surrounded by chaos. With all of your projects and information in unorganized piles, it?s no surprise that you are a victim of overwhelm and indecision. It might seem counter-productive to stop working and take the time to get organized, but you will benefit in the long run and any time you feel you have lost will be regained many times over.
It?s sad but true that most people who start an online business fail because their focus gets too scattered and they never really start a real business. There are different ways this can materialize. The most common situation is when a newbie constantly buys new programs and methods for online success, but never actually puts any of them into practice. The person who is a victim of this type of behavior needs to become aware of what they are doing and focus on just one method. It takes discipline, and he or she might have to change some of their habits, but it?s the only way to succeed. Honestly evaluate your past actions and admit that you, too, are as guilty of this as the rest of us.
It?s time to quit thinking that the next new program that comes your way will be your solution, but then you never implement it. Instead of jumping around so much, decide what is the most important thing you need to accomplish, and focus solely on that one task. The next, obvious step, of course, is to move on to the next task when the first one is completed. If you have to change your habits or your non-resourceful behavior, so be it. Do whatever is necessary. Even if you start small, taking that first action is the first step to getting things done.
It should be obvious that the best course is to disallow any negative input into your life, whether it?s from the news, the television, or other people. The possibility strongly exists that these influences, both negative and positive, have a strong impact on your business. You are the one who is responsible for fostering a positive attitude towards your life as much as you can.
