The 'State of Real Estate' on the rise | WLFI - Lafayette, Indiana

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Residential real estate sales in Tippecanoe County are continuing to rise.

Experts say those results happened in 2011 without stimulus funding to boost sales, as they did in 2010.

The 18th annual Lafayette Realtors State of Real Estate just got underway at the Lafayette Theater in downtown Lafayette.

This year's theme is from the movie, "Back to the Future" in an effort to look back and compare this year's real estate market to previous years.

Residential real estate has actually been steady since 2010 when stimulus tax credits were used to help sales.

Coming up on News Channel 18 at 11, we'll hear from keynote speakers from the State of Real Estate and what you need to look out for if you plan on buying residential or commercial property this year.
